The sessions are incredibly informative

It was an honor to attend the first annual Canadian Mobility Forum, hosted by Destination Canada. The sessions were very informative, and I learned a lot about topics that affect me personally like accessibility and universal design. I had a chance to meet some of my online friends in person for the first time and it was great! It is so important for people with disabilities not only in Canada but also around the world to have a place where they can come together, share their experiences, and talk about how we can make our communities better.

You'll have a chance to win some amazing prizes

It’s that time of year again! Don’t miss the chance to participate in Canada’s largest mobility conference, the Destination Mobility Forum.

This year, we are celebrating our 15th anniversary with a brand new experience for all attendees. Get ready for an action-packed week of learning and networking with other disability professionals from across North America! The event will take place from October 23rd – 27th at the beautiful Fairmont Hotel in downtown Toronto.

In addition to giving you access to some of the best minds in accessibility, there will be some great prizes up for grabs!

The venue is absolutely beautiful

I've been to many a conference in my day, and I can confidently say that the venue for this one is some of the best I've seen. The country side setting is tranquil and perfect for productive discussions. The food was delicious, too! The people were warm and inviting, which made it easy to connect with like-minded individuals. There are plenty of activities for kids on site as well, so if you're traveling with your whole family or want a break from conference activities you can always take them outside and get a chance to see some nature up close. It was hard not to be impressed by all the exhibits at this event--the exhibitors really went all out in order to make their booth stand out amongst the rest.

The food is incredible

  1. The food is incredible - who doesn't love a good ol' Canadian poutine? This was my favourite part of the conference and I ate it at every opportunity. The conference also had a variety of other foods, including a Vietnamese station, which was lovely. There were also some really good coffee shops around downtown that I visited when I needed a break from the conference.
  2. It was on the water - this might not be important for everyone, but it made me feel like we were in an entirely different world with nothing but fresh air and peace and quiet all around us

You'll be able to try out new products and services

Canada is an amazing country and this year, they're hosting their very first destination mobility forum! This event will have everyone from wheelchair users, to the elderly and people with disabilities. If you're interested in discovering new ways of living your life, then this is the event for you. You'll be able to try out new products and services that can help make your life easier and go through all sorts of workshops on things like health care, technology, housing options, recreation activities and more. It doesn't matter if you're a wheelchair user or not: there's something here for everyone!

You'll be able to network with industry professionals

Canada's first destination mobility forum will be taking place in Vancouver, BC on September 29-30th. The event is the largest mobility conference and exhibition in Western Canada, with over 2,000 industry professionals attending and close to 100 exhibitors showcasing their products.

There are a number of reasons why you should visit the forum - you'll have an opportunity to network with other industry professionals from around the world, get up-to-date on all of the latest developments in technology and learn about new products that might interest your business or product line. And if you're feeling ambitious, there is also a chance for startups to win funding for their ideas at the Innovation Showcase.

It was also really cool being able to network with other professionals in our field, which I had never done before!
